Laws & Culture

You are subject to local Spanish laws. In the City of Barcelona, the consumption of alcohol in the street, other than in authorized outdoor cafés and bars, is banned. Photographing military installations is also prohibited.

The standard electrical current in Spain is 220V. Travelling from North America, your appliances will require electrical adapters. Adapters are available through the concierge if you forget to bring yours.

Individual Expenses

Items of a personal nature such as ‘at-your-leisure-activities’, gift purchases, phone calls, bar charges, mini bar and laundry will be at your own expense. You will be asked for a credit card upon check-in at each hotel to maintain an incidental account to cover your personal expenses. It’s important that you settle this account prior to checking out.

Travel Medical Coverage

Airline Ticket

Your e-ticket will be enclosed in your travel package due to arrive before your departure to Barcelona, Spain. Once received, please review your flight itinerary. If you have questions, contact Megan Taylor at mtaylor@justenergy.com.

Important Note: Your travel documents should be placed in your pocket or carry-on luggage. Always carry them with you while travelling. Never pack them in your checked luggage.

 

Airport Check-In

Check your airline website prior to departure, for any last minute changes.

It is recommended that you check-in at your designated airport two and a half hours prior to flight departure time. All flight times are subject to change with or without prior notice. Visit the airline website before leaving for the airport to confirm your departure time. If you are having someone meet you at the airport on your return, they should also visit the airline website to verify the flight arrival time.

For carry-on items, liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in containers with a maximum capacity of 100 ml (3.4 ounces). These containers must be placed in a clear, re-sealable plastic bag (available at the airport if needed) with a capacity of no more than 1 litre. One bag per passenger is permitted.

Important Note: It is recommended that you pack a change of clothes/shoes and any necessary toiletries in your carry-on.

 

Baggage Allowance

Check with your airline for current baggage allowance and restrictions, for both checked and carry-on baggage. Since security regulations are constantly changing, refer to the airlines website for the latest information.

 

Luggage Tags

Just Energy luggage tags are enclosed in your travel package. It is essential that these tags be filled out and securely attached to each piece of luggage to ensure correct delivery to your destination and easy identification by the hotel. We also suggest that you include your address and phone number somewhere on the inside of your luggage. Remember to remove all outdated tags from your luggage.
